Happy Friday!

Happy Friday!!! I am so glad that the weekend is here… I’m sure you are too!  I was running around today with back-to-back meetings and when i was out I really felt like I was melting so to speak… It is HOT out!!!

What are your plans for this summer?  Any family vacations planned or weekend get-aways on the horizon?  Sometimes they get planned but the hardest part is having them come to fruition. 

I have no doubt though that lasik should be part of your summer plans!  If you work full-time like I do you can just take one day (like a friday off) and you’ll be back to work and up to par by Monday!  Seriously though, you’ll be able to do things the day after.  Lasik really does have that fast of a recovery time.  So, if you’re worried about vacation or personal days, lasik is something that you will be able to work into your schedule.  And as far as my experience is concerned, the doctors at Mann Eye worked around my schedule and were very accommodating.  They wanted this to be a great experience as I went through with this life-changing this- lasik!!! It’s great and you should really look into it if you have not yet…

The End of May!!!

Can you believe that May is almost over and we are 5 months into the year??? Crazy!  I feel like I am being pulled at all angles and that there is so much going on right now… weddings, wedding showers, basketball games, bar-b-ques, birthdays, etc etc… the list goes on and on!  Last Memorial Day I was in Vegas and I wish I could of gone back this year!  Need lots of R&R so hopefully I can find some more time for that!

I need to start getting ready for Father’s Day because it will be here before I know it!  What are you getting your father?  What about lasik?  Have you thought about that one?  He would be so happy and would owe you for life!  Talk about a Father’s Day gift that he would never forget…. think about it…  It really is something that you and your siblings/mother should explore.  You could bring your dad to Mann Eye for a free consultation!  He would be so surprised!  Let me know what you think and I hope you have a great day!

What a Wonderful Weekend!

This weekend there was so much going on and in the midst of all the hustle and bustle made me realize also how EXTREMELY happy I am that I’ve had lasik. I was in North Carolina for a wedding and it was a crazy busy weekend!  I had to wake up at 4am on Friday to catch a flight.  I did not have to worry about trying to put in contacts that AM and thank goodness for that because we were up late packing and doing laundry so that would of never happened.  Got a little shut eye on the flight but it’s kind of hard for me to sleep on some airplanes due to comfort level… Friday night was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner so I had to be on my A game for all that!  I was hoping to get to bed early for the wedding the next day but of course that did not happen.  I was again so glad that I did not have to worry about taking my contacts out that night after another long day!  Lasik is great!  Then I was up again for another long day - the wedding day!  Had to be ready to go for the bridal luncheon at 10:30am!  After that I made my way to the pool for a little R&R for the one hour that there was not something scheduled for me to do. After that it was back to the hotel to get ready for 4pm pictures with the bride!  Made it to the church by 4pm… wedding at 6pm… pictures after…. then the reception at 7:15pm… waved farewell to my good friend at 11pm and went out for more fun in Charlotte after….

What a long weekend!  She looked gorgeous though and was a beautiful bride!  I am so glad that I got to be a part of it and share in her big day.  Weddings always make me cry!  (Another great thing about laisk- I don’t have to worry about losing a contact!)

Mother’s Day Re-Cap

Hi there and good morning!

I hope that everyone had a fabulous Mother’s Day and had some good quality time with their family.  It’s so hard to make time for that these days it seems!  Well, I have to tell you about my weekend.  I had 3 Mother’s Day to celebrate and two birthdays!  Talk about a lot to do and a lot of presents to bring along.  I was exhausted as of Sunday night and ready to just crawl up into bed.  Sunday was a gorgeous day and I started the day off with making the appetizers for Mother’s Day dinner… I had a hot crab dip, shrimp and guacamole on my list (something for everyone) and then started prepping the food for my brother’s birthday crawfish boil.. we had crawfish of course, sausage, shrimp, potatoes, corn, onions and lemons… after the food was prepped and ready for the day I was off to help my brother get some things together because he is moving into a new apartment in Houston.  This was fun but I was envious of my mother who was sun bathing by the pool so I was ready for a little R&R my self.  The men were off doing their afternoon jog and I was the one of course trying to organize everything…

By the time late afternoon rolled around I was ready for a refreshing drink by the pool and I spent the rest of the day there!  It turned out to be a great Mother’s Day for all and a great birthday celebration for those as well! 

I hope your Mother’s Day was as fun-filled and you did something special.  Did anyone get their mom lasik?  I thought about that but mine just got lasik and she loved it!

Tuesday, May 6th…

This time I year I forgot how busy it gets!  Yes, within the next month the calendar is jam-packed… two birthdays… Mother’s Day…another birthday…an out-of-state wedding…a wedding shower…. a crawfish boil… the list goes on and on….

I hope you are enjoying the May weather and getting ready for summer!  Have you taken advantage of your tax refund and looked into lasik?  Now’s a great time and you’ll be in the best shape for that summer vacation!

Last Day of April!

Can you believe that April is almost over!  I can not at all! Getting ready for the May flowers….

Well, how are your tax refunds coming? I just talked with a co-worker and friend the other day that were going to use their tax refunds for lasik.  They are so excited and can not wait!  I told them how wonderful Mann Eye was for me and how I am so happy with my lasik.  I think they are getting ready for their summer vacations and going to take advantage of that additional money they got back this year from their taxes too! 

You should think about it too.  There is no better time than the present!

Hey there and good morning!

How are you doing?  Can you believe that it’s already the last week of April??  I wish we could have spring weather forever!  The heat and humidity will be here before we know it.  I am thinking that this summer is going to be very very hot since last year it was pretty mild with all the rain that we had.  What do you think?

I am hoping that I get to take a beach vacation this year and take advantage of the water activities with having lasik done!  It used to be terrible with swimming and snorkeling, etc because I had to worry about my contacts and if I was wearing glasses then I couldn’t even go near the water.  You know what I’m talking about!  There are so many things that you miss out on but now with having basically perfect vision from lasik I get to do everything and fully enjoy myself!  Sunglasses and sun on my face.  I am truly looking forward to lots of fun in the sun!  If I could only find the time….

Another typical Thursday!

Hey there!  How are things going?  I can not believe that it’s already the middle of April!  Where does the time go?  I hope that everyone got their taxes in on time or else filled for an extension.  So many of us leave it to the last minute!  You know that if you’re looking for some help financially with lasik this is the perfect time… your tax return money will be great for this!  I know you’ve been dying to get lasik so why not take advantage of how hard you work and get lasik!  Lasik is something that will make a difference in your life every day and you’ll be so grateful!  And you even got that extra $300-$600 back this year too!  Perfect !  What do you think?

A New Week!

Hey there and good morning!

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  The weather was great and there is a little breeze as well!  This weekend was busy for me, starting from last Thursday!  I had a work event and one of my girl friends met me there for a cocktail.  That was nice to catch up with her and it’s so hard for us to find time sometimes with our crazy work schedules.  You know how it is!  Then on Friday had another busy day and also had a follow-up visit at Mann Eye.  I talked with Dr. Paul Mann and discussed my progress and what I should be doing now to make sure that I am fully recovered 100% from my lasik procedure.  He was great and very helpful like always!  What a team they have there! 

Then, after a long day of meetings on Friday it was a surprise dinner for me.  We went somewhere that I had never been before and dinner was great!  This was the weekend of birthday celebrations and festivities for me!  Friday night it was just me and my hubby and then on Saturday night it was to celebrate mine and my father’s birthday!  We got him a nice new golf bag that I really liked and I think he liked it as well!  But the BEST part of the weekend was that I got what I have been wanting for some time now!!!!  I got a KITTEN!!! She is adorbale and my husband named her “Angel!”  I love her and am so happy!  I have never had a cat before!   I’m sure I’ll have many more new stories to come…
