Hi there!  How are you doing?  I hope that you are doing well and I know for all of us here in Houston it’s still a little chaotic…. many people are still without power and some without water too…. traffic lights still out and traffic is bad in some areas… etc etc…

Despite all that, we have SO much to be thankful for!  I keep telling myself every day how blessed we are.  I know how devastated Galveston is and for those that live and work there.  We take so many little things for granted on a daily basis… power- to run the traffic lights so we are not sitting in traffic for hour upon hour, power- to blow dry your hair in the morning for all the women out there, power- to be able to see at night, power- to be able to cook in the kitchen, use the microwave and oven, power- to get your morning cup of coffee or espresso…the list goes on and on…. It just makes you realize how thankful we should be though and how we take so many things for granted!

What would we do without power?  What was it like before lasik technology?  What would we do without cell phones?  What would we do without computers?  Makes you think…..

How are you doing?  Let me know because I know we all could be a lot better here in Houston…. we are of course very thankful as well because it could of been much worse.  How did everyone last through Hurricane Ike?  Many of us still do not have power!  Its been a very long week and I hope that things get back to normal next week!  I do have to say from all the moving around between family and friends houses it was very nice not to have to worry about my contacts, glasses and contact solutions!  Everyone else had their little eye carrying case but not me!  I had lasik and in a time like this the last thing I want to have to worry about is all that!  Thank goodness for lasik!

Can you believe that it’s already September?!?  Craziness!  Where has time gone?  Well, I went back into Mann Eye the other day and things are still going great with my eyes.  It has not quite been a full year since my lasik procedure but we are getting there.  I am so used to it now and I now can not imagine life without lasik!  All those little nuisances and problems with glasses and contacts- no more for me!  You should check it out for yourself and see what you think…. lasik… it might just be what you (and your eyes) need!!!

Hi there all!

Another week…here we come!  I hope that everyone had a great weekend and stayed dry.  We had lots of rain here!  I actually ran into a long time family friend this weekend and she asked about how my lasik was doing.  Any side effects, etc, etc.  I told her how great my eyes are still doing and we talked about lasik for a good hour.  She and her husband are considering it and her husband travels a lot but with the quick turn-around time that I was explaining to her lasik is something that he would be able to fit into his schedule.  She talked about the hassles of glasses and I was so happy that I no longer have to worry about any of that!  It was amazing to think back with all the same issues that I used to complain about but lasik put a stop to all of it.  She is going to take her husband into Mann Eye so they can talk about see what will work best for them.  I am so happy that i was able to help by just telling them about my lasik experience with Mann Eye and what they did for me.

Happy Friday!  YAY!  I am so glad that it is finally Friday!  Feels like this week has been kind of long…

So, lasik anyone?  I had someone at work the other day ask me about my eyes and how I was doing because their spouse was considering it.  Since they are here in Houston I told them to definitely call Mann Eye!  They will take good care of them.  Then, also funny story… earlier this week when we were supposedly getting a hurricane through Houston I was talking to a co-worker as we were looking out the window from our 22nd and 23rd floor offices.  She was trying to point out something to me and I asked her if it was by a sign far away.  She was amazed that I could actually read what the sign said!  Seriously- it was so far away and it was pouring rain out!  In no way could I of done this before lasik!!! I really do owe all my good vision to lasik and Mann Eye!  Have you considered lasik yet?

How are you doing?  I hope your weather is not like it is here!  It’s been raining for about 3 days straight and very dreary out….

I met up with a girlfriend earlier in the week and she got lasik a few years ago.  She was talking about how it has totally changed her life (for the better of course!).  It’s one of those things that you have so many questions and it’s kind of unreal to think that your vision could be fixed but with the technology that we have now it’s so simple!  Seriously!  Once you do all your research about lasik, find the doctor and ask all your questions you are thinking why didn’t I do this years ago???  Everyone says the same thing and I’d love to hear about how lasik changed your life or how you are doing looking into it all and the questions that you have….

This has just been a crazy week for me and I am trying to keep everything together…. when it rains it pours so they say… from the cell phone breaking…having to deal with getting that replaced…to someone hitting my car…to getting that fixed…to just having to deal with “mean people”…. life is full of surprises…  It makes me take a moment to catch my breath though a realize how much I should be thankful for (and yes- lasik is one of them!)   So many little things that you need to make sure you look at the big picture!

And speaking of the big picture and lasik… how is it fitting into your big picture?  Don’t you want to be able to see for yourself without the help of glasses or contacts?  It’s great and just think… think of the big picture and how your life will be changed…

Hey there!  How was your July 4th weekend?  Let me know!  All I can say is… not long enough!   I am so glad that the rain stayed away for the most part and it was nice weather.  Did you enjoy some good BBQ?  I love to entertain so I made some appetizers- a type of queso dip (delicious) and a 7 layer mexican dip!  And then of course you have your hamburgers and hot dogs and smoked sausage…. i will be heading to the gym tonight!!!   Need to get that on the calendar!  The smoke from the BBQ didn’t bother my eyes at all and I was able to help grill and all….

Trying to get back into the swing of things now.  Let me know how your weekend was with family and/or friends!
