FINALLY- A Vacation!

Hey there!  I am SO excited!  This is going to be my first time to go skiing since I’ve had lasik! It’s going to be great and I can’t wait.  I’m going to Lake Tahoe and I’ve never been there before.  I have always heard about Heavenly Valley and how great it is.  My parents went skiing there last year and they loved it.  I’m excited to see the view from the top of the mountain and supposedly it’s a breath-taking view as you overlook the lake.  I’m ready for a break and some time away.  I talked with the doctors at Mann Eye and I’m going to bring some extra eye drops with me in-case my eyes get dry with the altitude change and climate changes.  Got that covered!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and I’ll be back in touch when I get back!  I’m sure I’ll have plenty of fun pictures to share- I hope at-least!

Ski slopes here I come…. :)

All the best!

Happy Wednesday!

I am so glad that everyone is noticing the contest and I wish you all the best of luck!  You can’t go wrong and contests are always great!  You should check out Mann Eye or go and have a free consultation so you can learn more, at least if you are thinking about lasik.  They can tell you all your options and everything they can do for you and help you with.  You’ll be so surprised!  The customer service is great and they are very helpful at answering your questions, especially if you are somewhat nervous or have any anxiety.  I know everyone has a few little butterflies in their stomach because this is our eyes we’re talking about!

I was just looking at the calendar too and I can’t believe that it’s already the end of March.  WOW!  First quarter is already over and here comes spring!  I’m not looking forward to the heat and humidity of the summer…. need some nice spring weather to stay around for a while!!!

Let me know how things are going….

Happy Easter Monday!

Hey there and good morning! How was your Easter weekend?  I hope it was great!  The weather was gorgeous and the sun was out!  What are your Easter traditions like?  I remember all the Easter egg hunts and it was always so hard for me to find the hidden eggs.  Not sure why but I was never the best at this.  Now I shouldn’t have any excuses with getting lasik done!  It should make me great at these since now I can see!

Easter dinner is one of my favorites!  A nice glass of wine in good company with some shrimp and then your salad, mashed potatoes with gravy, asparagus (or some sort of veggie), crescent rolls and of course the famous leg of lamb!  Leg of lamb is delicious and for those of you that have never tried it I would recommend the kind from Colorado. New Zealand is good too though.  You have to make sure you’d don’t over cook it so it keeps all the flavor and is tend so your knife cuts right through it!  What does your family do for Easter?

Have a great Monday and I hope you remember what the true meaning of Easter is and take that into consideration as you celebrate with your loved ones.  That’s the most important thing!

Talk to you soon and all the best!

It’s Hump Day!

Beautiful Sunrise!

Beautiful Sunset!

Hey there and Happy Wednesday!

I’m really liking how light the traffic is this week getting to work since most everyone is out on spring break.  It’s been great!

I was looking through some old pictures and just wishing that I was on a beach vacation somewhere too like everyone else…..

Big & Rich!

Hey there and how are you doing today?  I’m preparing myself for all the rain!  The wind is picking up and I’m thinking of all the places I have to go today…not good with the rain coming our way!

It’s hard to go to the rodeo every night, but tonight there is an awesome performer that not so long ago was just “up and coming.”  It’s Big & Rich at the rodeo tonight!  I would love to go, but Tuesday’s are hard for me.  It just offsets my entire week and as of last week going to the rodeo so many week days was hard for me!  I hope everyone that goes tonight has an awesome time and really enjoys themselves!  I think it will be a great time and fully meet your expectations.

So, on to the more important business of the day… How is your personal lasik experience going?  Have you took the first step and called for the free consultation?  Come on now, it’s free and you have nothing to lose!  You can find out if lasik is even a possibility for you… what do you think?  If you’re here in Houston I would suggest you call Mann Eye, that’s where I went and I have no doubt that they will take as good care of you as they did me!  Aren’t you even just a tid-bit curious if lasik is even right for you?  I know I was!  Let me know how things are going….

Have a great day!

Happy St. Patty’s Day!!!

Hey there and Happy St. Patty’s Day!  I had to remember to wear something with green in it today or else I’d end up with little bruises by the end of the day from all the people pinching me.  I hope everyone has a fabulous day!  Did anyone celebrate St. Patty’s Day early this weekend with all the festivities going on?  What did you do?  I would love to hear!

So many things going on right now, and especially since today is the first day of spring break for all the Houston kidos.  Traffic was a little light this AM too.  Many families taking those much needed family vacations to go skiing, to the beach, etc etc.  Are you doing anything exciting for spring break with the family?  Let me know!  I used to love spring break skiing and love it this time of year because the weather is great and you don’t have to get as bundled up as you’d have to in the winter months.

I’m feeling a little better today, still not 100% up to par that’s for sure.  I took it easy this weekend and hopefully I caught my symptoms early and all the medicine and rest will help me recover fast.  Drink lots of water and take your vitamins so you don’t get sick like everyone else!

So, what are your plans for St. Patty’s Day?

Happy Friday!

Today is supposed to be a wonderful day being Friday and all but I’m feeling a little under the weather.  I was hoping to maybe go to rodeo tonight to see some clients but that might not be happening anymore!  I’m thinking that I need to lay low and take it easy.  Many of my co-workers are sick and it seems like there is something going around…

Normally when I feel like this it starts with feeling congested and then somehow moves to the eyes and ears.  Luckily for me I’m not worrying about popping my contacts out every time I have to wipe the little tears out of the corner of my eyes.  Another one of the many little things lasik has changed in my life, for the better of course!  I wish everything was as easy as lasik!  I’m thinking how I would love to just flip a switch and feel better!  Not sure if that will happen today though…

Hope you are feeling well and please enjoy your Friday afternoon!  Enjoy it for me and if you’re going to Clay Walker tonight (one of my most favorite performer’s by the way!) have a blast!!!  He is great live and has so many classic country hits!!!

It’s Hump Day!

Good morning!

Another beautiful day so far!  I just hope it stays like this!  I have to say that last night at the rodeo was one of my favorite shows!  I love the old country guys like George Strait, Tim McGraw, Clay Walker and Brooks and Dunn but I think that Rascal Flatts puts on a great show!  Also, I really like some of their songs.  I like to be able to sing along when I know all the words, maybe that’s what it is!  There were so many people there again and I think it was pretty much a sold out show?  Did anyone else go last night?  What did you think?

I was able to see everything down on the stage thanks to my lasik!  I didn’t have to worry about my contacts drying out or forgetting to take them out at night because I got home late.  It’s great!  Through this process I’ve talked with so many other people and everyone has been just as satisfied as me!

Have a great hump day and talk to you soon!

Back to the Rodeo!

Hey there!

Again this AM I had the hardest time getting out of bed!  This whole time change thing has me not motivated and ready to go in the morning.  I’m adjusting very slowly… what about you?

Also, I was back at Mann Eye today for my check up and my light sensitivity is doing a lot better.  We want it to be perfect though and the doctors at Mann Eye have me on some eye drops to help do just that.  They have been great with double checking everything and making sure that everything is taken care of.  It makes me feel very safe and comfortable when you make sure that all the “i’s are dotted” and “t’s are crossed!”  Have you looked more into lasik?  Let me know what your hold-backs are or what thoughts are going through your head… They’re probably the same that I was thinking too!

Now, on another note, tonight will be another fun evening out at the Houston Rodeo!  Rascal Flatts is tonight and last year they ended up not performing at last minute.  There will be many clients there and I hope they have a great time too.  One of my favorite parts of rodeo is the calf scramble.  I love watching the kids and see them jumping for joy when they finally rope their calf!  It’s a pretty big accomplishment, especially for some of the younger ones.

Are you going to rodeo this year?  I’ll be there tonight at Rascal Flatts and after this I might just be “rodeo-od out!” :)  Have a great rest of your day and fill me in on your rodeo festivities…..
