Good morning and Happy New Year!
It’s quite chilly out this morning! I hope everyone had a lot of fun and excitement for their New Year’s Eve celebrations. I actually had a quite night in the end and am very glad that I did so. I was able to start the new year bright-eyed and bushy tailed. New Year’s Eve I had a very nice dinner and the champagne was wonderful! I am a big fan of champagne and New Year’s just doesn’t seem the same without it. During dinner the topic of discussion was things you are thankful for in 2007 and goals for 2008. I have to admit that of course one of the things on the top of my list was my vision- I am thankful that I was able to get lasik done in 2007 and look forward to many exciting adventures in 2008 with my new eyes. After my dinner and champagne it was time to relax. Seldom do I ever get to really do this and it seemed like the perfect night to do so for me! A movie night was a good way to end the evening’s festivities for me. I was exhausted though and really did need some R and R for the new year! I was asleep and in bed by 10pm! Of course I woke up to many messages going off on my answering machine from about 12:30am-3am. Many familiar voices calling to wish a Happy New Year! They all somehow got incorporated into my deep sleep and dreams. The next morning- New Year’s Day I was up early and to start the new year off right went running. A nice 3 mile jog is a great way to start both the day and new year. Then, it was off to make a delicious breakfast! (By the way it is great not having to stop and mess with putting contacts in or adjust your glasses!) It was ham and cheese omelets, pigs in a blanket and fruit salad. Of course the icing on the cake was the chocolate milk! It was a wonderful New Year’s Eve and Day for me!
The rest of the day was spent running errands and watching football! I hope you got some good R and R as well! Also, if it’s not on your to-do list for 2008 yet, it should be! Lasik should be something that you do this year! Just think about it and let me know if you have any questions!
Have a great day!
