Happy Thursday!

Good morning!

I have been listening to the weather all AM and it’s supposed to rain for the most of the day.  I have been looking forward to seeing one of my girl friends tonight and we were going to do a nice 6 mile walk at the park to catch up- much healthier than a happy hour!  But now with this weather and all the rain I hope we still can do it!  My friend also had lasik done a few years ago and she loves it as well!  I think after time goes by you just forget that you ever had a problem seeing and it just becomes natural.  Dr. Paul Mann expressed to me at one of my follow-up meetings at Mann Eye that of course this is the point too!  I have talked with so many people like myself that had some anxiety about lasik but after they had it done it really did change their life!

Your turn is next…..

Happy Tuesday!

Good morning!

I am so glad that it’s not freezing cold anymore!  This morning I was running a little late to work and it made me realize how before I had lasik there were many cases that I was running late to work because of having to put my contacts in and something was not going right or things always went slower when I was wearing my glasses because I couldn’t see in the shower or putting my make-up on.  Now I guess I don’t have any excuses to be late!  It did make me look back though and again realize how thankful I am to not have to deal with any of those nuisances.  I love it and I am so happy with my lasik!  Now it’s your turn….

Have a great day and all the best!

Mardi Gras 2008!

Us Together With Our New Eyes- At Cafe DuMonde

Mom and her New Eyes!

Just the Eyes!

Peek A Boo!

Good morning!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend as well.  I am getting back into the swing of things after being out of town for the weekend.  We had a great time- even though it was a little chilly!  Very chilly for that matter-especially during the parades.  Lots of hot chocolate to keep you warm.

Both my mother and I recently had lasik done and with all the masks there I thought it would be cute to take some pictures of our “eyes!”  We can “see” now thanks to Mann Eye and our wonderful lasik procedure!

During the parades as you know if you have been before, there are hands flying, beads flying, people running around etc, and since my mother had her lasik procedure more recent than mine (the beginning of January) she made sure that she had sunglasses on just in case anyone came near here eyes.  She was protecting her investment!

Mardi Gras 2008 was fun and I know this coming weekend in New Orleans will be even bigger! More parades and more people I bet!

Another Gloomy Day…

Good morning!

I actually had to stop by Mann Eye yesterday and had them look at my eyes.  I was having some light sensitivity and wanted to make sure that everything was okay and that they were not overly dry.  They gave me some more drops and of course this is completely normal as my eyes are going through the healing process. I always feel better though just in case to have the doctor do a check up and let me know what can be done to ensure the best outcome.  They were wonderful like always and very helpful.  I was in and out in no time!  All is well and I am putting in some drops to make sure that my eyes heal as fast as possible.

I hope you have a great day and stay warm and dry!  All the best!

Another Gloomy Day!

Good morning!

After yesterday I thought the rain and clouds were gone, but boy was I wrong!  They are back and so is the cold weather.  It wouldn’t be that bad if the wind would go away.  Well it’s kind of been a rough morning and I went to bed pretty early but this morning when I woke up my eyes were puffy.  It could be for a lot of reasons but I know most women know what I’m talking about!  Just another thing that we women have to deal with!  Well, if I had not had lasik and if I had to try and get my contacts in this morning it would of been impossible.  When your eyes are puffy or soar your contacts do not go in that easily and it’s a nightmare trying to get them in.  It can also be pretty painful depending on how puffy and soar they are- so in other words a day like this would of been a glasses day.  I am so glad that I don’t have to worry about that!  My eyes are good as they are and I don’t have to worry about irritating them more when they are like this.  Just another little thing that I noticed….

Have a great day and stay warm!

A New Week…

Hi there!

The gloomy weather is back but I hope that you are staying warm!  It’s neat to see who is working today and who is not with it being MLK and all.  I am supposed to be off, but yes, like usual I am working.  I actually love my job and working- just a part of who I am!

This weekend I noticed when I was laying low and watching a movie how my eyes have improved so much.  After lasik your eyes can be somewhat dry and when i would be on the computer or watch a movie/tv I would have to blink more than usual for moisture, but now it’s basically back to normal.  It’s like my vision has always been like this and when i wake up in the morning I no longer think twice about having to put contacts in, etc.  I just get up and go on with my day!  It’s wonderful!

I am so happy that I had lasik done!

The Sun Is Out!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend and enjoying the beautiful weather- FINALLY!  It’s still cold with the wind, but I am so happy that the rain is gone.  Today as I was out and about running errands- grocery shopping, working, etc- it reminded me how happy I am to be driving around with my sunglasses and ONLY my sunglasses.  No more contacts or glasses and it really does feel GREAT!  I love having the sun in my face and know that I can see with my own eyes.  Lasik really is the opportunity of a lifetime.  Lasik will allow you to do the things that you were once uneasy about because of your contacts and/or glasses. You won’t regret it- I promise.  If you have any questions let me know!  Have a great rest of your weekend and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the rain doesn’t come back!

Happy Thursday!

Hi there!

I had to go into Mann Eye the other day and it feels so good to go in there and have them know you by name.  That is what real customer service it!  And you would really never expect that as much with doctors and doctor’s offices, but it’s so different at Mann Eye.  They really do show that they care and it shines through the people that work there.  The employees all love their job and the doctors they work for so it creates a wonderful work environment and everyone has a smile on their face from it!  It really does make me think of the good ‘ole days when the milk man used to come to your door step to drop off your milk or even now in some cases where the mailman comes directly up to your door to drop off the mail.  It’s great and that’s why I truly believe Mann Eye is different- they have the vote of the people.  Brings you back to the old golden rule- treat others how you want to be treated!  Well, I promise- if you’re looking into lasik you should give Mann Eye a call.  They are wonderful and will treat you with the utmost respect and care.  They will help you feel comfortable and enjoy this huge life-changing event!

Have a great day!

Middle of the Week…

Glad that it’s Wednesday but not very excited about this dreary weather that we have.  It’s cold and rainy here in Houston and definitely not the kind of weather that you like to be driving around in.  This makes me think back to my pre-lasik days and how it makes it that much worse to have glasses on a day like this.  I was doing some research yesterday and at-least 50% of Houstonians wear glasses and/or contacts!  That is a HUGE percentage!  Why have you all not taken advantage and looked into getting lasik done?  I assume you have the same fears and anxiety that I did and that’s why I’m here to share my personal experience with you about lasik- to show you how simple and easy it is.  Of course the main point is that you have a highly recommended and well-known doctor like I did with Mann Eye.  After that you’re set for a great outcome that you’ll be able to enjoy for the rest of your life!  Just think about it!

Stay warm and dry today and if you have some time indoors with the weather being so bad hop onto the computer and either call Mann Eye or whomever to look into getting lasik done.  Do your research and you’ll be amazed!  I’m just you average gal next door and it was one of the best choices that I ever made!

Have a great day!

It’s Tuesday & Pay Day!

Overlooking Lake Travis- Beautiful

Hi there!

So now I get to tell you all the fun details about the wedding.  First of all, I was very happy that I had had lasik before the wedding.  With all the going and going and non-stop wedding activities I was so happy to not have to worry about my glasses or contacts like some of the other girls.  From the rehearsal to the rehearsal lunch to bridal brunch, pictures and wedding and reception everyone looked wonderful- especially the bride!  I was in the wedding and her colors were wonderful.  The bridesmaids had beautiful black dresses and her flowers were variations of pink and red of all kinds of wonderful and amazing flowers.  And then since it was cold out she had wraps for all the girls after the wedding.

You know how when you have long weekends like these your eyes get very dry or irritated from lack of sleep, etc- well not this time for me!  I brought some extra drops along with me that took care of any dryness that came during the weekend and I was good to go!

I’ve attached a picture from after the wedding as the sun was setting on Lake Travis.  The wedding was at Villa Antonia which is on Lake Travis and has an absolutely AMAZING view of the hills and surroundings!  It was gorgeous and the view was just breath-taking!

Think about how much lasik will benefit you too at these special moments in your life as well….
