First Day Back At Work….

Happy Monday!

It is truly amazing at how beneficial lasik is!  If you are a contact or glasses wearer words can not describe how grateful you’ll be after getting lasik.  Please let me know if you have any questions at all!  I will try my best to answer.  I do have to say, there is no reason for you to have any anxiety- it’s quick and you’re in and out in no time and there is NO pain at all.  You’ll have a different and dry feeling in your eyes after the procedure, but I’m serious, no pain!

I do have a funny story though…

I decided to go running last night because I was feeling great and my eyes were doing great.  I headed out a little after dusk so it was getting dark.  After lasik you’ll experience halos around lights at night but that will go away with time.  So as we were jogging I was enjoying looking around at everyones Christmas lights and Christmas decorations and just enjoying the fact that I could see all of this on my own!  This was GREAT!  You will love just gazing around and seeing everything with your own two eyes.

Well, I was coming to the end of my 3 mile run and just as I was approaching home my feet got caught in a rope in the road.  Of course to brace myself and to shield my eyes I put out my arms to brace my fall.  It was terrible!  Yes, I could see great and and this point I was not happy seeing the blood and scratches on both knees and hands.  I was in excruciating pain and I really thought I had maybe broken my wrist.  I was already tired from the 3 mile run and this was the last thing I needed to end my weekend!  I do have to say though, that my eyes were fine and at this point that was my main concern.  So, my advice to you it that once you recover from your lasik procedure, you only go running in daylight!

Today I’m back at work and playing catch up.  I’m glad that my lasik procedure was on a Friday so I had the weekend to fully recover.  Something that you might want to think about when you make your appointment too.  My eyes are doing fine but my knees and hands are a complete different story!  I’m putting up my running shoes for the day….

 Have a great day!
