I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well! Monday’s are always hard!
Well, last night I was sitting down over dinner discussing the upcoming week and realized that I do have some anxiety about lasik. I think I would feel this way about any procedure! It’s sometimes hard to fully trust someone, like doctors with your health or your well-being, or in this case- your vision! It’s all about taking that leap of faith, right?!
This weekend, I happened to call an extended family member to get their new address for Christmas cards and we got into talking about my upcoming lasik procedure. The first question that he asked was- where are you getting it done in Houston? After I told him Mann Eye you could tell the tone of his voice relaxed and he shared with me that he has had friends who were very happy with their lasik experience at Mann Eye in Houston, but he knows of many people who have gone to other places and have not been as successful in their outcome. He raved about Mann Eye and their experience in the lasik industry and this of course delighted me because it reinforced my good choice to have Mann Eye take care of my lasik needs and desires. Wheww….. That’s why it’s so important to do your research!
I also have to admit too that this past week has been extremely long…long in the sense that I have never worn my glasses for this length of time. This weekend when I was doing some Christmas shopping I was unable to wear sunglasses as I was driving around with the sunshine beating down on me. I also had to wear my glasses as I was trying on clothes (because of course I found some things for myself too in the midst of my shopping!!!) and when you have glasses on it does not help to pull that tee or blouse over your head…just that much more difficult!
I am counting down the days until my lasik procedure and so far 5 days to go…..
