Last Day of 2007- New Year’s Eve!

A Friend Who Is So Glad She Had Lasik Too!

Happy Monday and it’s the last day of 2007 too!  I was talking about the things that I am thankful for in 2007 and my vision and lasik procedure is one of them.  It was a great year and I look forward to what 2008 will hold as well!  With my new vision and lasik there are so many things that I will be able to do that I was not able to before.  For example, I am planning a vacation come the beginning of the year with family to Mexico and this will be the first time that I’ll be able to go snorkeling and deep sea fishing without contacts or glasses!  It’s going to be GREAT!  I’ll make sure to save some pictures of the big fish that I hope to catch.

Well, some of my friends, clients and co-workers have had lasik done at different times throughout their life and so far everyone that I have talked to have commented on how it was such a life-altering event and how they are so happy that they had lasik.  I am now one of the people too!

If you have not done lasik yet and now that 2007 is almost gone you need to put this on your to-do list for 2008!  Make it a priority- I promise it will be one of the best things you ever did!

Have a safe and fun New Year’s Eve!

After the Holidays…

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and very Merry Christmas!

I had a great time with the family and of course my recent lasik procedure was one of the many topics of conversation.  My aunt has had it done and she loves it as well!  Also my grandfather has had it done in one eye and he loved it!  My mother is now going to be getting lasik done come the first of the year and she is looking forward to it.  She watched during my procedure and knows exactly what to expect.  I am trying to see if I’ll be able to come and meet her when she goes to now be on the other end and watch too.  I would love to have the roles flipped and to be the one looking in on everything going on.

My eye sight is doing very well and the halos at night are fading fast.  That’s really good!  I did stop by Mann Eye today to talk to them about one of my eyes being dry and to see what else I can do to make it heal faster.  Dr. Mike Mann recommended another kind of eye drop and some flax-seed oil as well.  Anything that I can do to make sure that my eyes are healthy and heal as fast as possible I want to look into and talk to them about.  Dr. Mike Mann was very helpful and he said that my eyes are looking great!  After your procedure if you have any questions about any dryness, etc I would not hesitate to ask.  Everyone’s eyes are different!

As of today I’m still 20/20 and even 20/15!  The gift of vision I owe to Mann Eye!  What a wonderful Christmas gift!

Happy Friday!

Happy holidays!  It is getting so close to Christmas and I am getting very excited!  I am looking forward to having family come in town and to get to share the holidays with them.

I do have to say that I am avoiding the malls at all cost!  I am not a big fan of holiday traffic and drivers.  There are lots of “scrooge’s” this time of year when it comes to parking and traffic.  Beware….

Well, last night I went out to run an errand and of course it was already dark outside.  My night vision with the halos is getting a lot better than from right after the procedure, but it still has only been 2 weeks as of today since my lasik procedure.  The halos at night will still take some time to fade away.

Also- big note- which I am actually going to try and take care of this afternoon!  When you get lasik you have to make sure to stop by the DPS so they can change your drivers license.  Right now if you wear glasses or contacts it says so on your license and after your lasik procedure the doctors at Mann Eye gave me a form for me to take with me so I can get that taken care of.  They said that if you do get pulled over you can get a ticket for that!  So, bottom line, if you’ve had lasik or are getting lasik done make sure you change your drivers license.  Thought that was important!

Have a great Friday and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend as you get ready for a very Merry Christmas!

All the best!

Almost the End of the Week!

Happy Thursday!  It’s not looking that good for Houston today. We have some gloomy weather and rain as of right now.  I’m just hoping that it’s gone before the holidays!

This weather got me thinking though about what it was like before lasik…I would have to worry about getting rain drops on my glasses and wiping them off every time I had to go outside.  It was not enjoyable that’s for sure!  Now though, thank you to my very successful lasik procedure at Mann Eye I can go out in the rain and have crystal clear vision.  It’s great!

My morning routine has changed so much now that I do not have to worry about getting ready blind because I’m wearing glasses that day or have to spend that extra time putting my contacts in in the morning.  I now just get out of bed and head to the shower!  Lasik has made my day-to-day activities and routine so much better and I know it would make a world of a difference for you too!

Middle of the Week…

Middle of the week Wednesday and I am so glad that it is!  I have to say that the traffic is lighter on the way to work but the holiday traffic is holding me up every day now instead!

My eyes are doing great and I am still putting in the drops every day so they don’t get too dry.  It also helps in the recovery process so make sure you stock up on the eye drops when you get your lasik procedure done.  It is going to be great this holiday season to share with everyone the best Christmas gift I could of ever recieved- lasik!  I keep on telling my husband that I do not need anything for Christmas because I already got the best gift ever- the gift of vision beats any other gift I can imagine!

Have a great day and maybe you should add lasik to the top off your Christmas list!  Make Mann Eye a stop for your Christmas shopping this holiday season!  You can’t go wrong!

Another Day…

I hope that everyone is getting into the holiday spirit and getting all of their Christmas shopping done!

I am so happy from some of the responses that I have gotten about this blog and I am so glad that my personal experience with lasik at Mann Eye has benefited others.  It really makes me happy to hear that!

I do have to say that really reading about someone’s personal experience with lasik helps because it makes you realize that yes, although these are your eyes (and like I’ve said before we only have one pair!!!) with the technology that we have today and if you go to a good doctor (like those at Mann Eye for example) it is a wonderful experience and you are going to be so thankful that you had it done.  Also, knowing that there is no pain involved in the lasik procedure and that it lasts about 15-20 minutes maximum is icing on the cake.

I talk about my lasik experience and being able to see on my own with my family and husband and my husband says that if he would of known how successful of a procedure and known that I was going to be taken care of so well that we should of done this years ago!

I believe that personal experience’s like lasik speak directly to those considering it and really makes you look forward to the experience yourself!

Now if everything else was just as wonderful!

Thank you for your feedback and it’s great to hear that the doctors at Mann Eye are taking care of you like they took care of me!  You are in great hands and please let me know how your procedure goes!  You are going to be so happy and thrilled with the fast recovery!

Keep me posted and I look forward to it…..
